You’re invited to Horizons!
Star of the Sea College proudly presents Horizons, our Annual Visual Arts & Design Technology Show celebrating the creativity, imagination and artistic growth of students from Years 7–12.
The theme Horizons invites us to consider the many ways art & design encourages us to look beyond what we already know. Horizons represent possibility, discovery and new perspectives. They can be physical landscapes, imagined worlds, personal journeys or visions of the future. Throughout this show, students explore the horizons of their own creativity, challenge their thinking, develop new technical skills and communicate ideas that reflect their unique experiences and perspectives.
Featuring hundreds of artworks and design across a diverse range of art forms, including drawing, textiles, food, design, painting, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, photography, mixed media and film, Horizons showcases the breadth of learning and creative exploration taking place within the Visual Arts and Design Technology departments. The show opens at 6pm and includes interactive experiences, awards and refreshments throughout the three floors of the Heritage Building.
We warmly invite students, families, friends and members of the wider community to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our young artists and designers.
