At Star of the Sea College, community lies at the heart of everything we do. We believe that student growth and success are supported most richly when families, past students, and staff come together as one network of encouragement, faith, and belonging. Through frequent events, shared celebrations, and open communication, we maintain strong connections between home and school ensuring parents and guardians are always informed, involved, and empowered in their child’s journey.
Central to our commitment is the Parents’ Association (PA), a dedicated group of parent and guardian volunteers who play an essential role in fostering a nurturing and collaborative environment. The PA organises social, educational and fundraising initiatives across the year, and works closely with the leadership team to provide feedback and support programs that enhance student experience and well-being. Their efforts help strengthen communication, build strong relationships, and reinforce a shared sense of purpose in our wider community.
Equally vital is the Past Students’ Association (PSA), which ensures that graduates continue to be part of the Star family long after their schooling days end. The PSA organises reunions, the Community Choir, networking events, and opportunities for past students to remain engaged, share their stories, and contribute to the life of the College. Through our bi-annual magazine, The Star, and other publications, we celebrate student life – past and present – and offer a platform that keeps everyone connected, informed, and proud of our collective journey.
