Why Choose Star?
A Star of the Sea College education is one that fosters in students a strong sense of connectedness, a deep commitment to their faith and a firm belief that they are capable of amazing accomplishments. Our motto, Deeds not Words, encourages each young woman to strive to be her best – not just for herself but for the wider world.

Star is a school of opportunity. As a large College, we are able to teach a broad range of subjects designed to meet all interests and abilities. We are very proud of our high academic standards and our inclusive philosophy.
Our co-curricular program is equally vibrant and varied. Learning at Star is not confined to the time between bells. It is alive with activity well before lessons commence and late into the afternoon. We firmly believe that young women learn best in an environment where they are known, cared for and supported. We take great pride in our excellent and comprehensive wellbeing program. We offer counselling and learning support as we understand the varying needs of our students. Star is here to educate and empower your daughter. We are dedicated to cultivating the knowledge, experience and personal attributes she will need for her future success.
We are also proud of the exceptional results achieved by our students, supported by The Age ‘Schools that Excel’ award we received for VCE results growth over the past decade. The percentage of students with a study score above 40 was 16.9% in 2019, and Star’s medium student score is 35.
The percentage of students that attained an ATAR of over 90 in 2020 was 29.5%. Over 55% of students attained an ATAR of 80.00 and the Median ATAR score was 81.55.
