Wellbeing

Star of the Sea College is a safe, inclusive and welcoming school community, one that nurtures its students to become articulate, confident and caring young people.

At the heart of our Pastoral Care program is the SPIRE Wellbeing Framework. This framework encourages the development of the whole person across five domains; Spiritual, Physical, Intellectual, Relational and Emotional.

Aligned with our Guiding Principles, we aim to build and develop the capabilities of our students building their resilience and developing their independence, their initiative and their skills in leadership.

“RESILIENCE is a choice we make each time we lead from our strengths, practice mindfulness, gather wisdom from our failures and make small changes that elevate our health, happiness & sense of inner calm.”
Maria Sirois, Wholebeing Institute

Our supportive staff take a professional yet personable approach to the social and emotional wellbeing of every student. Star of the Sea College is a school where the individual is known, nurtured and cared for, and where obstacles are overcome together.

By fostering a meaningful partnership between students, staff and parents/guardians we cultivate a shared sense of purpose and belonging, enhancing communication between students and staff.
