Student Support

Students identified as requiring learning support are offered the subject of MatLit (Maths and Literature) in Years 7 through to Year 9. Students with identified learning deficiencies undertake activities designed to improve their basic literacy and numeracy skills, and thus improve their ability to work independently.

MacqLit (Macquarie Literacy Program) is also offered to Year 7 students. It is an explicit and systematic reading intervention program for students who would benefit from greater progress.

Senior students requiring help with their English studies are assisted by the learning-diversity teachers (with English specialties) through a number of outlets, including small group work and ongoing support with additional resources. They are also offered organisational support.
