Star of the Sea College tours take place throughout the school year, commencing in February. Our final tour for 2024 will be held on Tuesday, 26 November at 8.30am. Bookings are available via the button below.
Who are our College Tours designed for?
Our tour series is designed for prospective Year 7 students and their families. The tour covers the areas of the College campus that a Year 7 student would frequent throughout the school year.
Can we book a tour if we are interested in Year 8 or above?
All prospective parents and students are welcome to participate in our College Tours. However, if you are considering Star of the Sea College for Year 8 or above, individual, by appointment, during-interview tours are available by contacting our College Registrar. These tours will cater specifically to the student’s year level.
Does Star run other tours throughout the year?
Occasionally, tours are announced that are not part of the scheduled series. These tours will be added to the College website as they occur. Star also runs by-invitation tours relating to special events. If you wish to know more about particular aspects of a Star education, you are encouraged to speak to our College Registrar.
What can we expect on a College tour?
College tours commence in the Star Chapel with an address by the College Principal, Ms Mary O’Connor. We then break into smaller groups, each led by a member of the Staff Leadership Team and our student representatives, to tour the Year 7 teaching areas and facilities. We aim to make the tour as informative as possible, and questions are always invited from both prospective students, parents and guardians.
The tours commence at 8.30am and conclude at 9.30am. This allows visiting students to return to their primary school and parents and guardians to return to their workday with a minimum of disruption. You are welcome to stay after the tour to ask any additional questions.
