Back in 1978 Principal Sister Paschal created a new newsletter 'Star Gazer'. Today, 46 years on, her words still ring true and are more important than ever.
She wrote that a question she is often asked is "what do we expect from our students at Star of the Sea?"
Her answer was:"I suppose it would be simple to state that we expect them to be interested in their studies and to take part in their studies and to take part in the many sporting and other activities made available to them.

"It remains our goal and we trust that the thousands of girls who have passed through our doors at Star remain our 'best advertisements'."
The thoughtful newsletter makes interesting reading as it recalls Nano Nagle's role in founding the Presentation Sisters and quotes the esteemed Mother Sebastian Lardi who turned 101 in that year. ... See MoreSee Less
