A triumphant spectacular!

The 2025 Star Music Festival lit up the Plenary, Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, on Monday night, delivering a breathtaking showcase of student achievement. Performing live for an audience of thousands, students once again proved the power of talent, dedication, and school spirit.

The audience was treated to an incredible display of talent—from dance to choral performances, ensemble music, and stunning visual design. While the level of skill was undeniably impressive, what stood out most was the unique sense of whole-school togetherness. Every year level worked towards a common goal: to create the best performance possible.

A student-led initiative, the festival is driven by House Leaders and highlights four key areas:

  • Song – Choral
  • Ensemble & Accompanist
  • Dance
  • Art & Design – Concept & Performance

Months of preparation by student leaders, weeks of intense rehearsals, and the unwavering support of teachers and staff—especially Star’s unflappable Productions Manager, Sam Harding, whose dedication ensures students gain real-world production experience—made this event unforgettable.

One of the festival’s most cherished traditions is the Winner Announcement the following day. Instead of immediate competition, students leave the night simply proud of their house’s achievements, reliving the magic with friends before any results are revealed.

And with that, we congratulate Stella House – the winners of the 2025 Star Music Festival!
